A fortnight on from the best day of our lives and we are able to reflect on all the wonderful things that came together – better than we could ever have imagined.
Roberto came to us as celebrant, recommended by our friend Cristiana. Immediately on meeting him we knew we were in safe hands as he took time to emphasise his understanding of the importance of this day to us. Roberto spoke of his honour to be considered for this most important role – capturing the symbolic joining of our lives and hearts before our families and friends, in a way that would make everybody feel like a part of the occasion. An important part of this would be to conduct the ceremony seamlessly in Italian and English such that every guest would be brought on the journey together.
Ahead of the big day, Roberto guided us through his process for ensuring we would be completely at ease in the moment. We met a few times to agree how the ceremony would be conducted and which part each of us would play. Roberto asked us to write to him, individually, with our ‘love story’ to allow him to gain a true understanding of how we came to be. He is authentic, attentive and spontaneous and helped us with the creation of our vows and translations to ensure we were as relaxed as possible sharing our promises before our guests.
